It is the responsibility of the customer to familiarize themselves with the terms of service prior to allowing our technician to commence provision of service. Allowing our technician to commence service constitutes acceptance of all terms and conditions detailed here. A $35 service fee will be applied if your check or credit card is not honored by the bank, along with any necessary handling and return charges if your order is cancelled in an untimely fashion, and any necessary collection costs, including attorney's fees.
Appointments are scheduled 9am–5pm Mountain Time, Monday through Friday, with a 2-hour arrival window during which you should expect the technician. Online booking is available for the 9am–3pm window; later slots within business hours can be booked by phone. All appointments are set based on the earliest availability. Part installation appointments will not be scheduled until part(s) have arrived.
Appointments may be cancelled 24 hours prior to service. If a customer cannot be reached or is not home at the time of the scheduled visit, HomeTek Appliance Repair will consider this a cancellation, and the customer may be subject to a $75.00 service call fee. We urge customers to contact the office at (720) 598-2834 immediately if they cannot keep their scheduled appointment. If we do not answer, leave a message with your first and last name and phone number and we will update the service appointment.
If the unit is found to be uneconomical to repair, or the customer does not wish to proceed with the service, a service call fee will be charged. The service call fee covers the initial examination, diagnosis, and written estimate of repair with parts and labor, charged as follows: $95.00 for each residential unit inspected and diagnosed at the time of service, or $155.00 for each commercial unit. The service call fee is non-refundable.
HomeTek Appliance Repair often makes appointments for customers with multiple units. A service fee will be charged for each unit.
The appliance must be installed and accessible to the service technician. If access to the unit is not provided by the customer, additional fees may apply for the labor performed to access the unit. Based on the customer's description of the issue, our technician will diagnose the unit and determine what repair(s) will be necessary. Due to the complexity of some appliances, additional underlying problems may not be determined until an initial repair is made — in that case, an additional free diagnosis and revised estimate will be provided. If a technician cannot duplicate the customer's complaint, the customer will be responsible for the service call fee.
If the technician arrives and no problem is present, it will be considered a diagnosis of "No problem found" or "Working as designed," and the customer will be responsible for the service call fee. If the problem is caused, or possibly caused, by a source other than the appliance itself, the technician may recommend an examination by an outside trade contractor (plumber, electrician, general contractor, etc.). The customer is fully responsible for any expenses related to outside contractors, and remains responsible for HomeTek's service call fee.
Any recommendations made by our company are not mandatory, and any actions taken by the customer are at the customer's sole discretion and financial responsibility.
In accordance with the Major Appliance Service National Price Guide (MASPG), repair cost is based on the job, not on the time the repair takes to perform.
Estimates are valid for 7 days. The customer is responsible for reviewing the estimate with the technician. Payment of parts and/or labor indicates approval and complete agreement to have HomeTek Appliance Repair perform the repair at the quoted price. An estimate is not an invoice, and parts availability is subject to change.
Our technicians carry the most commonly replaced parts in their vehicle stock. Parts are ordered within 24 hours of the initial visit, and most arrive within 3–5 business days (special-order parts may take longer). We can only relay ETA information given to us by our parts distributors. Once a part arrives, we'll contact you to schedule installation. HomeTek Appliance Repair reserves the right to retain old parts and components that have been replaced.
Appliance problems may be caused solely by lack of routine maintenance, and maintenance may resolve the issue. Maintenance is not a repair or part of repair labor, and is non-refundable.
HomeTek Appliance Repair accepts cash, check, and all major credit cards (up to $1,000 per transaction). Payment is due at the time of the initial visit.
Late payments: if your account becomes past due — 14 days past due incurs a $50.00 late fee per invoice; 30 days past due moves the account to collections, and the customer is responsible for any collection fees or charges. A returned or cancelled check incurs a $35.00 fee.
Refusal of payment: if a customer refuses to pay the service technician, HomeTek Appliance Repair reserves the right to expedite the account to collections.
Once a repair is complete, the customer will review and test the appliance and receive a service receipt (text, email, or printed, based on preference). This confirms the customer has examined and approved the work. Payment in full also indicates the customer has reviewed, tested, and is satisfied with the service. No refunds are issued on completed or ongoing repairs.
HomeTek Appliance Repair offers a 90-day warranty on all parts and labor, applying to the same problem only — not against additional or more extensive repairs, other problems on the same unit, or incidental damages. The warranty period runs from the part installation date. If a problem arises within this time, contact us at (720) 598-2834 immediately to schedule a follow-up.
The warranty is valid only if the repair was performed by a HomeTek Appliance Repair technician. Improper use of the appliance, relocation of the appliance, or failure to perform proper maintenance voids the warranty. If a technician is dispatched on a warrantied unit and the complaint cannot be duplicated, no further action is taken beyond testing; if dispatched more than twice under warranty without detecting an error, the customer is liable for a service call fee.
Warranty does not apply to: discontinued or obsolete parts, refrigerants, filters, access valves, fuses, or wires — and covers manufacturing defects only, not damage from water, high voltage fluctuations, or alteration/tampering by third-party technicians. HomeTek Appliance Repair is not liable for injury, property damage, or food loss due to appliance malfunction, and reserves the right to limit or refuse warranty coverage at its sole discretion.
It is the customer's responsibility to review the waivers below, which are assumed and accepted once a technician is allowed to commence service.
Moving an appliance: you understand there is inherent risk of damage to the appliance and surrounding areas (flooring, cabinetry, countertops) when it is moved. The technician is not required to move the appliance; in exchange for doing so, you hold both the technician and HomeTek Appliance Repair harmless from any resulting damage.
Working with water connections: you understand appliances connected to plumbing carry an inherent risk of leakage or flooding from component failure or imperfect connections. Except in cases of gross, clearly proven negligence by the technician, you hold HomeTek Appliance Repair harmless from resulting damages.
Failed cooling: refrigeration equipment can fail without warning, and diagnosis or repair may not always prevent food spoilage or related inconvenience or loss. You accept these risks as your own and hold HomeTek Appliance Repair harmless.
Lifting a glass cooktop: lifting an adhered glass/ceramic cooktop surface carries inherent risk of breakage. While our technicians exercise due care, you accept this risk and hold HomeTek Appliance Repair harmless from resulting damage.
Our standard install charge covers removal and/or installation of an appliance without disturbing or removing cabinetry, countertops, flooring, or other fixtures. It does not include modification or repair of gas or water valves, drains, power receptacles, electrical junction boxes, or dryer vents. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure gas, water, electrical, drainage, and venting systems meet local code and are ready to accommodate a standard install.
HomeTek Appliance Repair does not install, modify, or correct issues with the services necessary to facilitate installation (electrical supply, water supply/drainage, gas supply, dryer venting, etc.), and does not independently verify these have been met. The installation charge does not include materials such as vent hoses, water lines, gas lines, hoses, or fittings. If we arrive to perform an install and it cannot proceed due to any of the above not being met, our standard service call fee is due.
HomeTek Appliance Repair reserves the right to refuse service at the technician's discretion, with the customer held liable for the service fee. Service may be refused if a customer cannot accommodate the technician, is disrespectful, belligerent, threatening, disruptive, harassing, improperly dressed, refuses payment, or is intoxicated or under the influence of illegal drugs, or such drugs are present.
